being cultured
I went to two exhibitions in half term that I had fairly majorly procrastinated going to for various reasons (namely not wanting to leave bed). The first being Man Ray which made me wish that I wasn't so useless at taking pictures. I was kinda skeptical that a photography exhibition could impress me to the same level as a painting or drawing one could but it did. The exhibition has left me praying for the sun to come out so I can attempt to take my own pretty pictures with my film SLR.
I also went to the Manet exhibition after weeks of recommendation from my mum. I personally wasn't the biggest fan but I really did enjoy it. I bought the catalog for my mum so I may revisit it to see if I can like it more. On that same day I had my first ever visit to Dover Street Market which was pretty much an exhibition in itself. It was sort of depressing too knowing that never in a million years I would be owning any of it but I just enjoyed looking. Every single item in there is just too stunning and the display really makes everything just a thousand times better.
On another note, it's my birthday on the 12th!!!!! Ahhhh! 14 seems like a quite insignificant age but that doesn't stop my irrational excitement. I already know the majority of what I'm getting but that does not take away from the excitement in the slightest.
